Classical music has no limits. Especially when listening it in a natural setting like the Orheiul Vechi Natural Cultural Reserve. At the second edition of the classic open-air music festival „descOPERĂ”, which took place from 9-11 June, the PR-agency PARC Communications organized a promotion and communication campaign. In the three days, citizens of Moldova and tourists came to Butuceni village from Orheiul Vechi to enjoy classical music. The musical notes of Beethoven, Wagner, Bach, Verdi, Rossini, Strauss and other classical performers have delighted the visitors of the festival in all three days. Also, in the natural landscape was played the famous CARMEN opera composed by Georges Bizet. More than 5,000 people enjoyed the performances of the National Philharmonic Orchestra „Serghei Lunchevici”, Academic Coral Chapel „Doina” and the evolution of the artists from the National Theater of Opera and Ballet „Maria Biesu”. In total, on three scenes, improvised in a natural setting, more than 500 artists performed. The evolution of artists took place under the magic wand of the famous Austrian conductor, Friedrich Pfeiffer.
During the event other activities took place, like those for children – pantomime shows with the famous George Ciolpan mime, painting and clay lessons as well as a craftsmen’s fair and local traditional cuisine and wine tasting.
The „descOPERĂ” festival is an excellent product for tourists who want to visit the Republic of Moldova, get to know local traditions and discover the amazing places of our country. The event is included in the annual calendar of events of the country brand “The Tree of Life”, which was created to enhance Moldova’s historical, cultural and gastronomic attractiveness as well as to harness the traditions.
